The University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt has more than 9,000 students and 217 professors, plus the staff working at the institution. FHWS offers 42 study programs between Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in 10 faculties. Seven of those courses are aimed at international students.
Being one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the German state of Bavaria, FHWS focuses on offering quality higher education through its more than 40 Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. The courses at FHWS cover the areas of technology, economics, social sciences, computer sciences, visual design and language. The university aims at providing practical work with the classes so students are well-prepared for when they enter the job market. Moreover, research is an important topic for the university as they develop it in partnership with regional companies and national and international organizations.
The University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt invests in internationalisation of its study programs by offering twin-programmes based on their German equivalent, so students can switch from German to English to have experience in studying in another language as well.
