An elegant city with 81,000 inhabitants, Dessau also hosts a small student community at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. The city attracts big crowds to its Kurt Weill Festival, as well as various Bauhaus-related museums and constructions, which make the whole town a kind of architectural museum.
