Frankfurt am Main is Germany's fifth-largest city, and its primary financial hub. One of the world's top 5 stock markets, Frankfurt is home to major global banks such as Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank, as well as the European Central Bank, which coordinates fiscal policy all over the EU.

Johann Wolfgang Goethe University is the largest, and is globally respected for social research. But both the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and the School of Finance and Management also have strong reputations. All serve the financial sector, training management graduates, IT specialists and economists.
The city, in general, is a pleasant place to study, with the attractions of Museum Island, sports teams like Eintracht Frankfurt and the chance to explore distinctive Hessian cuisine all adding to the appeal.
