Osnabrück (also spelt Osnabruck or Osnabrueck) is in the state of Lower Saxony in the north-west of Germany. It is one of the largest cities in the state and it dates back to 780. Osnabrück features excellent reconstructions of medieval architecture after sustaining damage during World War II.

There are two universities in the city, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and Osnabrück University. Each school has around 14,000 students, making up a large portion of the city's population of 171,200. There are 24,500 international residents in Osnabrück including many international students.
