Course description

The MSc programme on Computer Simulation in Science (CSiS) is conducted in English. It emphasizes the creation, execution, and application of computer-based simulation techniques and methods to tackle contemporary research challenges in natural sciences and engineering. This programme spans four semesters. Students will engage in coursework that includes subjects such as Computer Simulation, Computer Science, and Numerical Methods. Qualification Requirements

Bachelor‘s or diploma degree in applied science, business mathematics, chemistry, electrical engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, safety engineering, physics or a related field. Advanced knowledge (as specified on the web page) in the field of specialization chosen from atmospheric physics, computational electromagnetics, computational fluid mechanics, experimental particle physics, computational finance, imaging in medicine, materials science, theoretical chemistry, or theoretical particle physics. Knowledge of at least one programming language. A grade of (or equivalent to) at least 3.0 after rounding down to the first decimal place in the German system. Sufficiently good proficiency in English at the level B2 of the European Framework of Reference.

Document Requirements

In addition to a passport copy, scans of all education certificates acquired from secondary school onwards must be attached to the application form of the uni-assist online application. These include:  foreign secondary school leaving certificate with an overview of your grades,  evidence of any university entrance examination you may have sat in your home country, your "assessment test" certificate or TestAS certificate,  Evidence of periods of study and qualifications (overview of modules and grades, transcripts, diplomas, etc.),  Evidence of German and/or English language skills.
