Course description
The Data Analytics program merges intricate mathematical and statistical models with machine learning techniques to tackle real-world problems. It leverages tools and methods for processing Big Data. The curriculum builds on core data modeling and analytics knowledge, applying it to vast amounts of real-world data using modern technologies like Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and NoSQL. Participants will gain hands-on experience managing large-scale data on a state-of-the-art compute cluster and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Services. This interdisciplinary course combines core modules from applied computer science and mathematics with application modules from various fields. It aims to train data analysts with deep methodological and algorithmic expertise, enabling them to not only use existing methods but also develop new models and techniques tailored to specific systems. The program is designed to foster a comprehensive understanding of data analytics, ensuring participants are well-equipped to handle the complexities of Big Data in various application domains.

English language proficiency is required to undertake the International Master’s program in Data Analytics. Sufficient knowledge of English can be demonstrated by a certificate (TOEFL computer based test score of 61 or above; IELTS band of 6 or above; or an equivalent certificate) or a German Abitur. If your prior degree is taught in English, than we need a document of your university stating that your studies have been completely taught in English. Stamped and signed by your university. more
Qualification Requirements
The Master’s program in Data Analytics is highly relevant for students aiming to pursue their career in research in an interdisciplinary field, data analytics, or a related industry. Students with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics and related fields are eligible to apply. Generally, students with strong analytical, mathematical and statistical base and good programming skills are more suited for this program.
