The Architecture Class at the Städelschule is a two-year postgraduate Master of Arts (Advanced Architectural Design) program that offers one of the leading international courses in this field. This course provides a potent environment for exploring architectural topics in a small and intensive research setting. Based on the artistic platform that the Städelschule brings and the rigorous methodological structure of contemporary architectural design, the program is to be understood as a new and innovative approach to architectural practice. The basic admission requirement for our artistic degree programs is proof of artistic ability. You must prove this in the application process by means of an artistic portfolio and a passed entrance examination at our university. The portfolio should contain a selection of own work that demonstrates the applicant's artistic potential and creative development.
