Process-Oriented Materials Research
Subjects: Materials Research
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
The aim is to provide an interdisciplinary education in natural sciences and engineering to research and develop sustainable materials and processes. This is particularly relevant for modern applications in energy, mobility, and space exploration. These goals align with the focus of the MAPEX Centre for Materials and Processes at the University of Bremen. ProMat students design their own curriculum, choosing from over 350 courses in all STEM subjects. They are guided by a personal mentor throughout the entire program. Students familiarize themselves with the latest methods in materials and process research, especially those involving AI tools. They conduct research on contemporary topics of their choice and gain international experience through a research stay abroad. The program prepares them specifically for research-related activities in both academic and private sectors. The Master's degree program in Process-Oriented Materials Research is supported by Faculties 1 - 5 of the University of Bremen and all materials-oriented non-university research institutes in the federal state of Bremen.
