Course description
Scientific computing tackles the mathematical modeling and efficient numerical computation of intricate problems from technology, economics, and the natural sciences. Modern product research and development rely heavily on numerical simulations using computers. Applications of scientific computing are vast, including crash tests, electromagnetic compatibility, fuel cell optimization, financial derivative pricing, and biological process simulation. The University of Bayreuth's new international degree program in mathematics aims to equip highly talented students for future challenges in numerical simulation. This program covers study subjects such as mathematical modeling, numerical methods, and computational techniques, preparing students to excel in various scientific computing applications.
