Course description
The entire program is conducted in English and led by active researchers with international experience. Students will journey from theoretical foundations to hands-on empirical research. They will delve into sociological theory, master cutting-edge research methods, and stay abreast of the latest in social structure analysis and social policy. In addition to the core subjects, students can choose from a wide array of thematic courses. The program culminates in a Master's thesis, co-supervised by faculty from both universities.

Qualification Requirements
The general admission criteria are the same as the combined criteria of both underlying programmes. For the Double Degree Programme there are however additional specific admission criteria. Applicants have to: satisfy the admission criteria of the "M.A. Soziologie" at the University of Bamberg, i.e. hold a higher education degree with a minimum of 30 ECTS accumulated in Sociology, of which at least 10 credits are connected to sociological fundamentals and 10 credits are connected to methods of quantitative empirical social research or statistics. with a grade point average of at least 2.5 on the German grading scale or equivalent document A1-level German language skills (which can be obtained during the first year) satisfy the admission criteria of the Master's Programme in "Sociology" at Tilburg University, i.e. hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. the field of sociology, social sciences, or humanities be sufficiently conversant in the social sciences possess adequate knowledge of social science statistics and research methods
