Course description
International retail companies and brand manufacturers need leaders with strong skills in strategy, internationalization, marketing, retail, consumer management, and digitization. This new master’s program at THI Business School, taught entirely in English, aims to equip students with these essential competencies. The Retail and Consumer Management program is a consecutive master’s degree that builds on a bachelor’s degree, offering students the strategic and conceptual skills needed for careers in various retail and brand manufacturing sectors, including lifestyle products, electronic consumer goods, and automotive sales. Students will gain expertise in intercultural competencies to meet the demands of globalized retail management. The program targets international students who have a first degree and practical experience in retail and consumer fields. The curriculum ensures that graduates are well-prepared to navigate and lead in the dynamic world of retail and consumer management.

English taken up to the Abitur; there must be at least 4 points in the Abitur certificate; if the Abitur was taken in Germany, proof of secondary level two is sufficient. In the case of foreign certificates, 8 school years of English should have been completed. • Successful completion of an English-language Bachelor degree programme • TOEFL ibt (internet-based) with a score of at least 71 • TOEFL ITP with a score of at least 543 • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) • Cambridge FCE • Cambridge ESOL Level 1 (= Level B2 according to CEFR)If you studied an English bachelor no additional certificate for your English language skills is required.
Qualification Requirements
An economics or commercial-oriented bachelor’s degree from a German university with at least 210 ECTS credit points or an equivalent qualification from a university in Germany or abroad. A certificate must be submitted as proof. The Examination Committee decides on equivalence. Applicants must pass an aptitude test for the master's degree course in Retail and Consumer Management. Please find details in Appendix 2 of the Statutes. Proof of sufficient knowledge of the English language (level B2 of the Common European Framework).
