Ingolstadt
Renewable Energy Systems
Subjects: Sustainability
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
The global energy sector is undergoing a significant transformation. Investments are moving away from nuclear and fossil fuels towards renewable energy sources. In 2015, global investments in renewables reached $286 billion, more than double the investments in coal and gas plants. However, renewables are more volatile, making the seamless integration of energy systems both crucial and complex. Students in the Master programme Renewable Energy Systems (RES) learn how to integrate various energy techniques into a cohesive system. This program equips graduates with the skills needed to plan, develop, and manage energy systems effectively. They become well-versed in renewable energy technologies and can expand their professional expertise. The focus isn't on individual technologies but on how these technologies interact and meet demand. This holistic approach ensures that graduates understand the broader energy landscape and can contribute to a sustainable future.
