Course description
Architects, urban, regional, and landscape planners often find it challenging to address the intricate demands of urban development solely with their specialized knowledge and skills. Tackling these complex tasks requires a multidisciplinary, cooperative approach due to the numerous stakeholders involved. The Master's degree program in Urban Design bridges architecture, urban and regional planning, sociology, and landscape architecture. This program, in collaboration with Tongji University in Shanghai, offers a unique dual degree opportunity. Participants spend one year studying in Berlin and another year in Shanghai, gaining diverse perspectives and expertise. This approach ensures that students are well-equipped to handle the multifaceted nature of urban development, fostering a comprehensive understanding and practical skills necessary for effective urban design.
