The new post-graduate Master of Science program in International Health (MSc IH) is offered by the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine - Teaching and Training Unit (T&TU) and the CIHLMU Center for International Health. This MSc in International Health is tailored for seasoned health professionals, requiring at least 2 years of prior work experience to ensure participants can fully benefit from this advanced program. The MSc IH addresses health-related challenges in low- and middle-income settings. It adopts an interdisciplinary approach, equipping students with comprehensive knowledge in international and global health. The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects including global public health, infectious and non-communicable diseases, chronic diseases, health economics, and politics. Additionally, students will gain proficiency in research methods and skills necessary for conducting research for their MSc thesis. Qualification Requirements
Completed, first university degree of min. 240 ECTS credit points in a health-related science (usually equivalent to a full-time, 4-year university degree program with 8 semesters). Applicants who have a qualifying, first degree of six semesters and 180 ECTS credit points may be admitted to the MSc program if they meet additional requirements (i.e. additional courses and/or work experience). If this applies to you, please contact the MSc Program Coordination for further information At least 2 years of relevant, full-time work experience in the health-sector. Relevant internships of longer duration can be considered (provided that they are equivalent to full-time employment) English Language Proficiency: Level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
