Course description
The Master's study programme ‘Human Movement Analytics - Biomechanics, Motor Control, and Learning (Master of Science)’ equips students with deep knowledge and skills rooted in movement science, biomechanics, and neuroscience. It hones methodological expertise and opens doors to advanced research in movement analytics, biomechanics, behavioural science, and neurophysiologically oriented motor research. Language requirements for Human Movement Analytics: Biomechanics, Motor Control, and Learning (HMA:BMCL) As the entire course of study is taught in English, applicants must provide proof of sufficient English language skills. Applicants must reach at least a level of proficiency corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Although level C1 is considered as helpful, it is not mandatory. The proficiency level can be certified as follows: School reports: English language skills must be documented over at least 6 years, up to the degree which entitles university entrance. or TOEFL Test iBT (internet-based test) or some other kind of language test. or: proof of university entrance qualification awarded for one of the following countries: Australia, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, the USA, the UK, South Africa. or: proof of completion of an English-language Bachelor’s degree course.
Qualification Requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 180 ECTS points, obtained in one of the following scientific fields: Physical Activity and Health (Bewegung und Gesundheit, JLU Giessen) Biomedical engineering Sports and Technology or related programmes plus Teacher training programmes in sports combined with mathematics, physics or computer science The board of examiners can recognize degrees in addition to the above. The board of examiners can approve of other degrees with and without further requirements. In case there are further requirements to be fulfilled, students can catch up on a maximum of 30 CP. When in doubt, the board of examiners can conduct an additional interview with the applicant in order to discuss questions.
