Proficiency in the English language is essential, and we cannot compromise on that. All courses are taught in English, and exams, reports, publications and the thesis are to be written in proper English. If you have not taken one of the tests listed below at the time of application, that is no problem. You can provide the necessary documents up until admission is granted: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of >590 paper-based, or 240 computer-based or 95 internet-based International English Language Test System (IELTS) with a score of at least 6,5 Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)

The prospective students have finished their BSc (or are close to completion) and have an excellent theoretical knowledge have substantial experimental research experience, most lilely in the form of an experimental BSc thesis want to enter a doctoral thesis research project as quickly as possible without omitting the MSc degree are willing and able to take a high work load want to study in a highly international class of peers with English as the teaching language are keen on working in a highly interdisciplinary and diverse environment
