Course description
CoPeCo is a two-year joint Master's program in Contemporary Performance and Composition. It offers students an open platform for experimental artistic practice within a European setting. This unique international program combines composition, interpretation, improvisation, and new technologies. Students, who are both composers and performers, study each semester at a different institution across Europe. These include the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn, the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon, and the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg. The program's structure allows students to immerse themselves in diverse cultural and educational environments. Each institution brings its own strengths and specialties to the table, enriching the students' learning experience. The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre focuses on innovative performance techniques. The Royal College of Music in Stockholm emphasizes cutting-edge technology in music. The National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon offers a deep dive into contemporary dance and music integration. The University of Music and Theater in Hamburg provides a comprehensive approach to music and theater. Qualification Requirements
You can apply to only one of the four partner institutions. If your application is successful you will be enrolled in the same institution where you submitted your application. This institution will remain your home institution for the whole duration of your studies. Upon successful completion of your studies you will receive your degree certificate and diploma supplement from your home institution only, but you will also receive a certificate stating that you have completed a joint programme, signed by the heads of the four partner institutions.
