Course description
The degree program aims to equip managers with the skills to create innovative, sustainable management strategies for natural forests, plantation forests, and other forest formations. It also covers agroforestry systems and urban green spaces, focusing on their use and upkeep. Emphasis is placed on adapting to changing social conditions and understanding the complex interactions between people and forest development through a multidisciplinary approach. This two-year course offers 120 ECTS credits, including three semesters of direct study and one semester dedicated to writing and defending a Master's thesis. Prerequisites for the Tropical Forestry Master’s degree program are: • Completed university degree program in the area of forest sciences or a similar subject (e.g. agriculture, horticulture, landscape architecture and regional planning, geography, water management, biology)
