Course description
With the Master's Programme »Integrated Urban Development and Design« (IUDD), we equip students with the skills to navigate the transformation processes of the early 21st century. Urban landscapes are becoming more dispersed. Global markets and challenges in the environment and society are evolving. Virtual spaces are expanding. Powerful actors in the construction business and postmodern lifestyles are creating new demands. Our programme focuses on developing spatial competences for planners and designers. We emphasize larger scales while maintaining attention to detail. Students will learn to address the complexities of modern urban development. They will gain insights into global markets and environmental challenges. The curriculum covers virtual spaces and the influence of major construction players. We aim to foster a deep understanding of postmodern lifestyles and their impact on urban planning. Our goal is to prepare students to respond effectively to these dynamic changes. The IUDD programme is designed to build a strong foundation in integrated urban development and design, ensuring graduates are ready to meet the demands of contemporary urban landscapes.
