Course description
Man-made climate change and increasing environmental degradation are clear indicators: An economy that ignores its natural boundaries cannot sustain itself. This is why sustainable development in both the economy and society is becoming increasingly crucial. The challenge lies in integrating economic, legal, and social science expertise with engineering and natural science knowledge to create sustainable solutions. Master's students in the Sustainable Management program gain in-depth knowledge of economics. They learn to contribute to sustainable changes in the economy and society. This involves connecting technical and scientific issues with various social systems, such as companies, politics, and society, to develop solutions from a comprehensive perspective. The Master's program in Sustainable Management spans four semesters. To be admitted, you need a bachelor's degree in economics, an equivalent degree, or a university degree in a non-scientific field with a focus on sustainability and at least 60 credits in basic economics. Proficiency in English is also required. This program equips students with the skills to address the pressing need for sustainable development, ensuring they can make meaningful contributions to a more sustainable future.

Qualification Requirements
Passed Bachelor's or Diplom I examination in economics or equivalent subject-related qualification or proof of a first professionally qualifying university degree in a non-economics degree program with a focus on economics and sustainability and proof of a standard period of study of at least six semesters and proof of 180 credits
Document Requirements
School leaving certificate with which you fulfill the entrance requirement for higher education. Certificates and transcripts of records of your previous higher education. Proof of at least one year of work experience (in any field of activity) after finishing your first degree of higher education. In special cases, the examination board can decide that work experience that you have gained before you had finished your first degree of higher education is acceptable as well. Proof of English language knowledge equivalent to level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Letter of motivation (maximum two pages) in which you state your personal motivation and suitability for the master's program convincingly, including a record of previous academic performance, field training and scientific work. Applicants from China, Mongolia or Vietnam have to submit the "APS" as well.
