Forests are becoming increasingly crucial on a global scale. They are essential for preserving natural habitats and biodiversity, supplying us with the valuable resource of wood, and offering significant recreational benefits. To maintain the forest ecosystem and its diverse functions, forest management must equally address ecological, economic, and social factors. Climate change presents another worldwide challenge for forests. They must be adapted to withstand shifting climatic conditions and also serve as carbon sinks. The "M.Sc. Forest Sciences/Forstwissenschaften" degree program aims to equip students with the expertise needed to tackle the current issues and questions surrounding sustainable forest management. This includes theoretical and practical knowledge, applicable both nationally and internationally, in ecological, economic, and social contexts.
