Course description
Our selective two-year Master program in American Studies provides thorough training in the methods and theories of American Studies. It offers deep insights into the literatures, cultures, history, and society of the United States. The program includes a wide array of courses, from America’s colonial past and early literary culture to contemporary themes in race, class, gender, religious, ethnic, and regional studies. We take pride in our interdisciplinary curriculum, which emphasizes both student autonomy and academic collaboration. The four cornerstones of our M.A. program are: - American Literature and Culture - Interdisciplinary Profile - Research - Practice Within this structure, students apply the fundamental theoretical framework of American Studies to complete both collaborative and independent research projects. Each year, our department welcomes esteemed guest professors from international universities. These guests teach lectures and seminars, bringing fresh and innovative research and perspectives to our students. Our program fosters an atmosphere of trust, understanding, and inclusivity. We communicate clearly and concisely, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality education in American Studies.
