The Esslingen University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Esslingen) is located in the small towns of Esslingen am Neckar and Goppingen, in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Esslingen University of Applied Sciences has 11 faculties located across three campuses. There are 6000 students enrolled, with a choice of 13 Master's degrees and 28 Bachelor's degrees.

Esslingen is one of Germany's leading Universities of Applied Sciences. The university ranks highly for its degree programs in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and Biotechnology. The research focus is proudly centered around modern and future technologies, with an emphasis on both technical innovation and solving topical issues. The university is located close to Stuttgart, one of Germany's main auto-manufacturing hubs. Students are able to take advantage of the university's excellent links with regional businesses during their practical semester, at names such as Porsche, Daimler and Bosch.

Despite its modern outlook, the university has a history that goes back to 1813, when it was founded as a mechanical engineering school.  The university has a significant number of international students and offers a number of degree programs in English. Students enjoy a rich and varied extra-curricular life with a good choice of sports and musical groups.
