Lippstadt is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is the largest town in the district of Soest. Lippstadt is around 60 kilometers east of Dortmund. Lippstadt is a large town with a population of approximately 67,900. The town has a high employment rate with around 35,000 jobs available. There are roughly 8,000 international residents, many of them students at the university. Between the Lippstadt and Hamm campuses, there are around 6,200 students attending courses at the university. The town museum has two locations and a gallery.

The Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences has a campus in Lippstadt and one in Hamm. There are a total of 6,200 students in the whole university. Courses cover a variety of subjects related to business and engineering, such as Intercultural Business Psychology and Biomedical Engineering. The university encourages real-world, practical experience, as well as self-led innovation.
Lippstadt has around 35,000 jobs and around 2,900 international employees. The automotive parts supplier Hella is the largest employer in Lippstadt employing around 6,000 people. Along with the nearby CARTEC Technology Centre, many students gain work experience and go on to start their career here. Innovative, medium-sized companies are promoted in Lippstadt and the surrounding areas.
