Ulm University is a modern, progressive public university located in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg in southern Germany. Founded as a reform university in 1967, Ulm is one of the youngest universities in south Germany. It is home to approximately 10,000 students, and there are four faculties offering a total of 60 study programs.

As a reform university, it remains dedicated to an interdisciplinary approach, which underpins both the teaching and research at Ulm. Courses are delivered from across four faculties; Natural Science, Engineering & Computer Science, Mathematics & Economics and Medical. Ulm University offers a number of science and technology master's courses in English and is dedicated to nurturing and supporting international students.

At Ulm, 13.5% of bachelor's/master's students and 22% of doctorate students are international. Ulm is a campus university located in a large green space outside of the city. The main campus buildings, the adjoining university hospitals, and a number of public and commercial research and development centers are collectively referred to as Science Park.
