Chair of Business Informatics and Digitalization The master's degree program in Business Informatics and Digital Transformation at the University of Potsdam is designed for those who want to delve deeply into the technical and economic changes brought about by digital transformation. This research-oriented program offers a unique interdisciplinary approach, combining business informatics, computer science, business administration, and administrative science. Launched in the 2017/18 winter semester, this program was the first of its kind in Germany. It aims to prepare future Chief Digital Officers (CDO) and Chief Executive Officers (CEO) for the challenges of the digital economy and society. The curriculum is modern and flexible, allowing students to tailor their studies to their interests and career goals. By focusing on research and practical application, the program ensures that graduates are well-equipped to lead in the digital age. For the master's program in Business Informatics and Digital Transformation, you also need English language skills at level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. Applicants whose native language is not German must also demonstrate knowledge of German at least at level DSH 2.
Qualification Requirements
In principle, the prerequisite for the master's degree is a bachelor's degree or an equivalent first professional degree from a university degree in a course of study in business informatics, computer science, business administration or administrative and/or political science, if this course of study has a standard period of study of at least 6 semesters and a scope of comprises at least 180 credit points. You must also have acquired at least 24 credits in business informatics or computer science.
