Course description

Landscape ecology delves into the dynamics of biodiversity and ecosystems, addressing urgent questions brought about by global environmental changes. In this English-language program, students explore the intricate relationships between biodiversity, climate, soils, and land use. The curriculum is rich with fieldwork, laboratory experiments, and computer-based practicals. It places a strong emphasis on project and team-based work, fostering collaboration and hands-on learning. Students in this program gain a deep understanding of how different elements of the environment interact. They study the impact of climate on biodiversity, the role of soils in supporting ecosystems, and how land use changes affect natural habitats. The program's structure ensures that learners are not just passive recipients of information but active participants in their education. Fieldwork allows students to observe and analyze real-world ecosystems, while laboratory sessions provide a controlled environment to test hypotheses and conduct experiments. Computer practicals equip them with the skills to model ecological processes and interpret complex data. This comprehensive approach ensures that graduates are well-prepared to tackle the environmental challenges of our time. By focusing on project and team-based work, the program encourages students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They learn to work effectively in groups, communicate their ideas clearly, and apply their knowledge to
