Course description
In the master's program, students dive deeper into civil engineering, gaining advanced knowledge and skills. To enroll, you need a Bachelor of Science degree. The program spans three semesters, with most courses taught in German and some in English. It culminates in a Master of Science degree. Qualification Requirements
The right to access the bachelor's program is acquired through the university entrance qualification (general university entrance qualification or subject-specific university entrance qualification) or a certificate recognized as equivalent by law or by the responsible government body. According to Section 49 Paragraph 4 HG, anyone who has qualified in vocational training also has access to the bachelor's degree. The regulations governing university entrance for those qualified in vocational training at the University of Duisburg-Essen regulate further details. Applicants who did not obtain their entry requirements at a German-speaking institution must demonstrate sufficient German language skills in accordance with the regulations for the German language test for university entrance for foreign applicants (DSH) before starting their studies. The specified qualifications can be waived if the applicant proves, as part of an aptitude test or aptitude assessment, a particular degree-related professional aptitude and a general education that meets the university's requirements.
