Course description

Over the past twenty years, there's been a growing focus on the visible changes in our environment and climate, and more importantly, on the health impacts of these changes. Environmental shifts pose significant physical and mental health risks. We're seeing a rise in infectious diseases like TBE, Lyme disease, and chikungunya fever. Cardiovascular issues and even anaphylactic shock are becoming more common. Allergies, including contact allergies and dermatitis, are on the rise, and there's a notable increase in certain types of cancer. To tackle these climate-related challenges effectively, universities must prioritize the subjects of environment, climate protection, and health. It's crucial to highlight the interactions between these areas. By embedding these topics centrally in study programs, we can better prepare for the future.
