Course description
The world's growing population demands more high-quality water, and climate change is making international water management increasingly complex. Ensuring long-term water availability globally is a critical issue for humanity's future. Hof University addresses this with its master's degree program in "Sustainable Water Management and Engineering." This program uniquely blends management and technical skills, emphasizing sustainability and digitalization, offering students numerous international opportunities in a burgeoning field. This course targets academically trained individuals, whether they have professional experience or not, who seek meaningful and socially relevant careers. It appeals to those ready to tackle complex global challenges. The program's practical, interdisciplinary approach covers current topics like sustainability, water risk management, and water resource management, alongside traditional technologies such as water treatment, wastewater disposal, and water circulation. The curriculum integrates the three pillars of sustainability: economic efficiency, social responsibility, and ecological compatibility. Theory and practice are closely linked through group projects with partner companies. Students benefit from excursions to pioneering water management systems and innovative technology companies, and they engage in discussions with experts from research and industry. This master's program equips students with the skills and knowledge to make a significant impact in the field of water management.
