Cross Cultural Nursing Practice
Subjects: Healthcare
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
The nursing profession is experiencing significant transformation, especially in German-speaking regions. This change is driven by more complex care situations due to demographic shifts, an increase in chronic diseases, multimorbidity, and lifestyle-related illnesses in both adults and children. Despite these challenges, nursing remains largely an apprenticed profession with limited academic integration. However, studies by experts like Linda Aiken show that higher professionalization leads to better care outcomes. This ongoing evolution in nursing demands a strong scientific foundation. That's where you come in. Building on your existing knowledge, you will learn innovative approaches to tackle current nursing challenges. You will acquire the latest scientific insights and expert knowledge to make informed decisions in complex situations. Our aim is to employ you as a nurse with a master's degree, utilizing skill- and grade-mix concepts. This ensures you can focus on what you do best, leveraging your specialized qualifications to provide exceptional care.

All applicants applying for a bachelor's or master's program must prove sufficient English language skills if their mother tongue (not second language) is not English. In Primuss application portal, you must upload a proof of English language skills by an official test certificate: IELTS academic 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 90 (minimum scores accepted). In individual cases, other English test score documents (minimum level B2) can be accepted. This decision is up to the examination board when reviewing your application. Attention: A "medium of instruction certificate" confirming that you completed an entire study program in English language is not sufficient for admission.
Qualification Requirements
Application for admission to a program on master's level requires a previous academic degree on undergraduate level (usually bachelor's in the same field). Your previous degree must be equal to a German bachelor's degree. You can check if your bachelor's degree is recognized as equal to a German bachelor's via the anabin database (only in German).
