M.A. | Master of Arts
Course description
The Master programme Labour Policies and Globalisation is a 1-year MA programme focusing on Sustainable Development, Social Justice, International Labour Standards, and Trade Unions. This programme addresses the challenges that labour faces due to corporate investment decisions across nations, supply-side oriented macroeconomics, and neo-liberal trade and finance rules on a global scale. Throughout the course, students will engage deeply with these issues, examining the impact of global corporate strategies on labour markets and the implications of economic policies that prioritize supply-side economics. The programme also scrutinizes the global trade and finance rules that shape labour conditions worldwide. A key component of the Masters programme in Labour Policies and Globalisation is the critical discussion of alternative policies for labour. Students will explore various policy options, assessing their adequacy and potential to promote fair labour practices and social justice. This comprehensive approach ensures that graduates are well-equipped to advocate for and implement effective labour policies in a global context.
