More about PH Weingarten

Situated in the Swabian city of Weingarten, close to the Swiss and Austrian borders, the Pädagogische Hochschule Weingarten is a leading hub for teacher training and early years education research. Courses include both Bachelors and Masters level degrees and encompass a wide variety of subjects. Students can focus on gaining practical teaching experience at elementary level, train to become therapists for those with learning disabilities, or prepare for social work with refugee children. So the selection of courses is relatively diverse.

International students are welcomed, but German language proficiency is compulsory (at least GER/CEFR level B1 or above). All successful applicants receive a month of intensive German instruction to prepare for their courses, helping to integrate those with any listening or speaking deficiencies. And students can also prepare for study at the nearby Bodensee Summer School – a popular option for overseas students from across the world.
