The School of Drawing was originally founded in 1776, which developed over the years into a vocational school and added focuses on precious metals and industrial design. This small university has around 700 students and a graduation rate of 98% attributed to the high level of personal attention to students. There are five bachelor's degree courses available. HfG also offers a master's degree course in Strategic Design. The extensive library has over 22,000 media items, including books and videos for research.
